Read all about our first tree planting event, with 1,000 trees planted in less than 2 hours. A great success and fantastic turn out from the local community on what was a very grey drizzly morning. Thank you to everyone that made it down, Derby Parks and David for writing about it.

A think tank has proposed a new ‘Forest of Britain’, to connect Land’s End to John O’Groats in a 2-mile-wide belt of woodland, as a lasting monument to mark the Queen’s platinum jubilee in 2022. We think this is a great idea, lets make sure it goes through Derbyshire.

Our local water suppliers, Severn Trent Water, are jumping on the tree planting bandwagon. Aiming to plant 1.3 million native trees species over the next five years to back the ‘Big Climate Fightback’.

As part of the ‘Big Climate Fightback’ on 30th November more than 10,000 trees were planting at Mead in Derbyshire, at the site of the new Young People’s Forest.
